You see, the valve train actually is a mechanism in your machine that opens or closes a set of valves and it allows the engine to breathe. And while functioning, this valve train actually disperses oil. So to avoid any leaks, the valve cover does that function.

A valve cover in your car should not be tightened too much for it could damage the valve train. On the other hand, it should not be kept loose for there could be leaks. You can adjust your car’s valve covers for it is only fastened to the head .

These covers are made from various material. There are some that come in plastic, or in metal. Others have been made from composite materials.
